I am having a problem with GBPVR. I am usig v96.12. If I watch a recording made in GBPVR, the playback is jerky. If I"m watching Live TV in preview mode, the video is very slow and out of sync with teh audio. If I"m using timeshifting I have teh same problem as if I was watching a recording.

I have read through all 10 pages of this post and I have downgraded my quartz.dll file to the v9.0b one. I have tried a few different decoders (Nvidia, Intervideo, sys default) and that doesnt seem to make a difference. Computer is an Athalon 2500 with a gb of RAM. Vid Card is a Geforce fx5200

I set interlacing in Config to "pass thru encoder" and its a little better but still not smooth, plus audio is out of sync. if I use render overlay, it seems to take care of the problem with recordings, and Live TV looks better, but out of sync, plus I'd rather have the transparent OSD.

Anyone got any ideas, or something I've overlooked?? I will defrag my drive tonight (its bedtime) but assuming that doesnt change anything, I would love some help.

It may be to do with the combination of directshow decoders on your machine. Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll see if I can see anything obvious.

Thanks sub, I'll do it when I get home. One thing...where do I find the logs to upload to you? I've seen you post to others to do this, but never done it myself.

c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\*.log

The gbpvr.exe-native.log is probably most relevent in this situation.

here ya go Sub. This is with VMR9 and Nvidia decoders. For some reason the recording looked better tonight (maybe I'm not quite as tired as last night) but the ausio still didn't sync up in Live TV.

It was working well for a few weeks then started acting up in teh last few days. I wonder if XP installed something funky in a recent update or something.

TIA

Sorry, I dont know. I cant see anything obvious in the logs.

Maybe try overlay and/or other decoders.

Just thought I'd post this in case it helps someone down the road. Right now, I am running the decoder that came with PowerDVD6 and it seems to be working. Seems like in the past few days its gotten better then worse so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
