I'm unable to get
the FireDTV DBV-C
(http://www.digital-everywhere.com/cms/en/index.php)
to work with GBPVR.

The channel parameters I should use are here:
http://dvb.swelcom.fi/cable.php

But what should the BDA/DVB-C inifiles be like for this data?
Is there any documentation how to install a new DVB-C based BDA-device?

You could try adding the attached file into c:\program files\devnz\GBPVR\BDA\DVB-C, then selecting the "Finland, Helsinki (HTV)" option in your capture source settings.

I am aware of a problem in the current channel relating to changing channels with DVB-C, which is fixed in the next release, but it should be fine for recordings etc.

Can you also try running the ReRegisterFilter.bat file. It might Help.

Can you do a channel scan, then zip and attach your logs?

You should also try running the ReRegisterFilter.bat file.

I think running ReRegisterFilter.bat did something, anyway the scanner found channels now.

Only it found 60+ times the same channels (I stopped counting at 30 repetitions and was not even at half) and still missing 500+ channels which I normally scan in other applications on "Astra 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D (19.2)" (which btw is not an available selection in GBPVR!?)

And the channels it found give no picture. It is way over my head but maybe you can see something from my attached logs?

Cheers,
Ronald

Unfortunately I have seen this problem with the FireDTV DVB-S device before, but I dont know why or how to resolve it. I treat all DVB-S devices the same, but this is only device I've seen with this problem. I can only assume its some bug in their DVB-S BDA driver that I'm unfortunately triggering.

I talked to the manufacturer about it, but they claimed the GB-PVR channel scan was working fine for them, so I'm at a loss really. Sorry.

I haven't tried the example of the infile yet so I don't know if it works.
But what is the last number in the scan-file definition-line:

1=C,274000,6900,QAM128,8

C: channel/cable?
274000: frequency="274000000"
6900: symbolrate="6900000"
QAM128: qam="128"
8: ????

I've tried with an almost similar ini file with line
1=C,274000,6900,QAM128,4
I was guessing that the last number was 'qamcode="4"'

The result with that ini-file was that the scan "found"
the channels in
transportstream type="cable" id="3" originalnetworkid="15" frequency="162000000" symbolrate="6900000" qam="64" qamcode="3" outerfec="RS(204/188)" outerfeccode="2" innerfec="None" innerfeccode="15"

namely
Infokanava,The Voice and others

And this in multiple times so that there was
DINA and DINA(1) .

But I'll try the inifile with '8' in the evening (time here is now 07:15 am).

This is an annoyning bug because the software seems so nice otherwise
and this forum-site also gives nice efficient expression.

The last value is the 'bandwidth', which is usually 8, but can also be 7 or 6.

I tried with a INI file containing the number 8 at the end of the line.

Scans ok and finds the channels expected.

The little preview screen in scan dialog is functioning ok.
I can preview the channels.

But when I try to watch the Live TV I get a message in a popup:

Error:No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Have I missed some config-step or what?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.
