Here in oz all the digital broadcast is 16:9 which is great. But until 42" HD LCD becomes a little more affordable I will still be watchig on the 26" 4:3 CRT.
Core2-E2180, 1G RAM, 1Gb-5450 Silent, 2Tb +300g HDDs.
Three tuners: Twinhan DVB-T x 1, Hauppauge Nova 500T (dual) DTB Digital SD + HD content (PAL-MPEG2-AC3). Custom case made very quiet. Zalman CPU cooler. Sits in rack with other HiFi. ParaLED to show tuner activity. Display: 42" 1920x1080p Panasonic Plasma 1x wired MVP 1x PC client

Most UK broadcasts are in widescreen, but I'm still using a 4:3 25" TV I 'obtained' at my last job .

16:9 here as well - I've had 16:9 for years and will never go back to 4:3 - although I do watch all the 4:3 programming in the correct aspect ratio. Never been keen on that horrid stretched look.

I have a 4:3 43" CRT rear projection TV as my main TV and a 4:3 17" LCD.
Planning to switch to widescreen soon. Those flat panels are getting more and more tempting. Also planning to upgrade my projector to a new widescreen hi-def one and to build a HTPC, so i'll be able to watch movies from GBPVR on the projector (or the flat panel)
GBPVR: v0.99.5
