First, I would like to say that I have been so happy with GBPVR. The support on this forum is fantastic, period. Having gotten that out of the way, I have an off topic question: Where would I go, such as another forum, to find out about recording or archiving shows to DVD without losing picture quality?
Problem: I just started archiving some shows to DVD. When I play the recording from the hard drive, everything is fine. However, when I archive to DVD and play with my set-top DVD player, i notice some "smearing or tearing" during high action scenes. I am using the bundled Ulead software version 3 to record to DVD. I have Easy CD & DVD Creator, version 6, but it does not offer the editing of the front and back end of the clips as the Ulead software does. It seems as if some of the data is being lost during the recording stage. Does anyone have any suggestions?
