I still had the same problem; the scan for my local transmitter (Winter Hill) results in zero strength, zero quality.
I then installed the bundled PVR software and found that it scanned no problem.
I then went back to gbpvr and changed the device settings to All Region / All Channels, and I could then scan everything in.
I think the Winter Hill frequencies are not going to work with the mega sky. In file 0076.ini, the following are given:
Code:
1=C56,754166,0,0,8
2=C66,834166,0,0,8
3=C68,850166,0,0,8
4=C67,842166,0,0,8
5=C60,786166,0,0,8
6=C63,810166,0,0,8
It might be that other megasky users are having a similar problem with the frequency definition of some specific regions (so try all regions).
Question for the developer of gbpvr (which I'm going to enjoy playing with now I can get some TV in it) ...
Can the tuning be modified so that it will take account of this type of device, to avoid this confusion? Or is it down to the poor BDA implementation of the megasky as mooted earlier?
