Hauppauge PVR2 USB2 to record in 16x9?

Is there any way to set the Hauppauge PVR2 USB2 to record in widescreen format (16x9). Or is this totally controlled by the hardware?

Sorry, all the analog devices mark their recordings as 4:3.
