Problem after database change.

Okay... i ran the database change program, selected "transfer database from source to destination" and hit go....it said it completed successfully. Now, whenever i load config.exe, i get an error saying it can't load plugins....and then when i hit okay in config, it gives another error, and won't shut down config? any help?

You might have a plugin install that is trying to directly connect to the database or something similar. Try temporarily moving the DLLs out of the plugin directory to see if the problem still occurs.

first thing i tried...still does it....let me get some specific text from the error.......

"error loading plugin list: system.argumentexception: an ole db provider was not specified in the connection string. an example would be, 'provider=sqloledb'"

after that is a loooooong list of other stuff about oledb connection strings an stuff.....


and then at config.exe close, it gives me an "unhandled exception error"

Umm...bear with me here, what logs do i need, where are they...and how do i attach them here? and should i do anything first to make sure the error appears in the logs?

zip all the files in c:\programfiles\devnz\gbpvr that end in ".log". Click the 'post reply' button below, followed by the managed attachments button, which will be a bit further down the page.

The logging level is set to Error, so it doesnt contain all good debug info, making it a little bit hard to tell, but all the config logs seem to be complaining about the SystemStatus plugin. If you delete SystemStatus.dll from the plugins directory, does it help?

If not, set the logging level to 'Debug', delete all the DLLs from the plugins directory, then repeat the problem and repost the logs.

umm...there is no systemstatus.dll in that directory. How do I switch it to debug, hopefully that's not in the config.exe....because it crashes evertime i try and close it, not allowing the changes to be saved.
