Hi psycik, here I am againSmile

I still have to let you know that my problems with the 97.7 install are solved now and that also solved the problem with ML2Smile
I am having another problem now with playing avi's through the mvp, I thought ML2 had to do with it (which reminded me of you in the 1st place and let me start this threadSmile ). But I don't think it is ML2 causing the problem. However when I switched ML2 off and removed its dll it improved the avi-playing, but it still stopped after some time. So I'll have to do some more investigating.
I probably have to ask in the mvp forum.
cya, btw ML2 is running greatBig Grin

have a look and see if ml2panel is there, I'm not sure if i let that be released. Its a screen saver and a panel for the main menu, but I've removed it from my system at home.

So you still had problems after removing ml2 from gbpvr?? I know i have a bit too much logging in there, for the scans, so I'll be removing that.

Let me know if there's anything you need me to look at or do.

Hi psycik, I think I noticed about the logging I think. I found some entries in the gbpr.exe.log, that made me think ML2 had something to do with my aviplaying problems, specially after things seemed to go better after removing ML2. But after "some" more testing I don't think ML2 has something to do with it.
However........... I found something else: I don't think the fast scan, from the home-menu wich you implemented so nicely and quickly, is working anymore. If you press the button it says immediately: fast update complete.

Fast scan only updates what has been changed (i.e deleted, renamed, added) since it's last fast scan.

I know the scan works because it ran at my house in the weekend when I added a track...but I didn't specifically try adding something, and hitting the fast scan in the menu.

I know. I added an album, then did the fast scan from the menu, nothing happened.
You say fast scan updates only what has been changed since last fast scan, that would also be: since the last normal scan??
I know it worked with the previous version.

It only updates what has changed *while* GBPVR has been running. Basically it watches the file system while GBPVR is up taking note of file names being changed.

I'll check tonight to make sure I haven't busted it.

I've got another update to make, I released another plugin in the weekend that doesn't use commongbpvrutilities....and I'd like to remove that dependancy from ML2.

I just wanted to get the .net2 stuff out of the way, now we can start adding stuff again.

I think I get it. Normally I use only the mvp, it probably works from there when it is running, I'll test later. Thanks, cya

Hey htv. Did a specific test of this activity, removed a song, rand the update and the track disappeared, then re-added it, re-ran the update, and it was back.

So it seems to work.

GBPVR has to be running, then run the update (or let it run it hourly one or something). But it seems to go.
