Hello,

can anybody help me with the german channel settings?
It would be great just to know the settings for e.g. ARD and ZDF and where to insert it. There are some hints to do this in the registry. Others say it is to be done in the config tool under capture sources.

As my Pinnacle PCTV DVB-T Stick is not officially supported, I didn´t manage the tuning assistant to run. I think after lots of testing I found a correct entry in bda.ini, but my efforts in direct.ini have been less successful.

Help would be great.

If you have the frequencies, you can enter them in the channellisting in config-capturesource in stead of the channelnumber.
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...elMappings
On the bottom of the page.
You might be better off first setting up your epg, so that you have the channels you want and then find/enter the right frequencies for them.
good luck

Hi HtV,

thank you for the tip. But I don't find the frequency information.
I hope anyone out there can tell me just on frequency of a German sender like ARD.
So, what do I have to type for:
T:<frequency assignment>,<channel>,<sub-channel>

With this information I could test if my installation works.

The tuning assistant is only for analog devices. You're using a digital device (DVB-T), do dont need to worry about this. Likewise, direct.ini is for analog devices, so ignore this.

This is only used for the USA ATSC digital standard, so is another thing you dont have to worry about.

After setting up your EPG, you should be able to click the 'map digital channesl to EPG channels' button and it'll do a channel scan for you.

Not 100% sure, but depending on where you are, the channels could be broadcast at different frequencies.

I'm in Hessen if that's of any help to you.

The tip using 'map digital channesl to EPG channels' was great. Now everything is working fine. Thank you very much!

In "testing is interesting"-mode I already used this button, but just before I loaded EPG-information using TVxb, so there was no effect.

Now I got my Pinnacle PCTV DVB-T USB Stick working and would like to make my settings in bda.ini public.
Where should I do this for others to use it?

[Pinnacle DVB-T PCTV USB]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=BDA 2870 TVTuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Pinnacle PCTV DVB-T USB Stick
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Cheers. I'll add it to the master list for the next release.
