sub, great product, i've been using it for almost a year now, and i love it. I used to have a perfectly automated setup, using the mencoder utility developed my stattik, however... lately (whether it's me, or gbpvr i'm not sure) i've been noticing some quirks with gbpvr that i never noticed before.

1. watching something that is recording, this part seems very glitchy, it seems that you need to record X amount before you can actually watch it.

2. time tables, again, i don't know what's responsible for this... but if i record a program, and postprocessing runs comskip, creating the small txt files and whatnot, then transcode into xvid (keeping commercials), shouldnt those comskip files still apply? and if not, lately when i transcode into xvid (attempting to cut commercials) it completely ruins the file, and i basically lose the recording. (4gb season finale's take up a lot of space, if i can't transcode them, i can't afford to keep them on my drive)

3. i think i might have read that you're alreading addressing this;
when recording a program that i would like to watch at the same time, the fact that when the recording service starts recording, and sends you back to the main menu makes it so i can't watch the program until it's done (because for some reason i can't watch recordings while they're recording).

if i'm missing something about the software, or don't fully understand something please tell me.. but i'm pretty sure my setup is correct, and i don't understand what might be screwing this up.

On some AVI files I cant determine the frames per second (Microsoft API fails). Without this, the comskip files do not apply.

This is normal. You should be able to watch the programme while it's recording though. If this isnt working for you, reproduce the problem then zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.

Probably just gbpvr.exe.log and gbpvr.exe-native.log

when i originally posted that, i'd experienced the problem twice this morning.

now that you've asked me to reproduce it, i can't. i just set it to record a show, then went to live tv, and selected "watch so and so tv show" and it worked *shrug*. I'll work on it more and see if i can get it to happen again.

Sub, another comment... i don't know how, but it amazes me that you can provide better customer service for a free product, than many fortune 500 companies with software packages and systems costing into the thousands of dollars. kudos to you, keep up the good work.
