If you have not deleted the failed recording from the GBPVR GUI then you may be better off using a tool to look at the database and change the status to Ready instead of Failed - sorry not sure how you do this but sub suggests some tools here:

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16787

If you have already deleted the failed recordings then export your recordings to an xml file. If you look at the exported xml file that you get when you export using the Config tool you will see lots of <recording> elements e.g.:

<recording>
<filename>E:\GBPVR\Recordings\Supernatural\Supernatural_20060522_23000000.mpg</filename>
<channel>ITV1 West</channel>
<status>READY</status>
<startTime>2006-05-22 23:00:00</startTime>
<endTime>2006-05-23 00:00:05</endTime>
<title>Supernatural</title>
<uid></uid>
</recording>

I simply found the recordings on my hard drive that were not listed in the exported file and added a new entry. So, if there was a recording on my hard drive, e.g.

E:\GBPVR\Recordings\Home Again\Home Again_20060526_20302100.mpg

that was not already in the exported xml I would add a new recording element to the xml file - something like the following for the above file:

<recording>
<filename>E:\GBPVR\Recordings\Home Again\Home Again_20060526_20302100.mpg</filename>
<channel>BBC2 South West</channel>
<status>READY</status>
<startTime>2006-05-26 20:30:00</startTime>
<endTime>2006-05-26 21:00:00</endTime>
<title>Home Again</title>
<uid></uid>
</recording>

Ensure that the new entry's filename points to the file on your hard drive. The title you enter will be the group that GBPVR places the recording in.

Import the new xml file with all of the new recording element tags that you have entered using the GBPVR Config tool. You should now see entries under Recordings in the GBPVR GUI.

OK, thanks. I compared what I had in the GUI and what files I had on my HD and they all match after doing the import. That's a good tip for future reference though.
