Just trying to get one to work on this system, then I'll worry about portability.
Here's the i-xmltv.log

Reboot, your logs show that I-xmltv is working fine, but GBPVR didn’t call it for this mornings EPG update (if you were still using it).

v97.x needs a clean memory space when doing the EPG update.
The PriorityRecording error you posted in another thread is caused by the XRecord suite, The author is working on an update for PriorityRecording.exe, but the version you have is not compatible with v97.x yet. Give it a little more time.
That may have been your problem. If not, try windows task scheduler.

I’ve included two different installation instructions. Expert and Beginner.
This will save some reading time for people who don’t need to use the beginner instructions.

I’ve also added a troubleshooting section, and information on how to manage things like Zap2It channel lineup changes.

<edit> replacing outdated files with the wiki link.
The latest updates are on the wiki

OK, now that I know why it's not working, I can work around it with scheduler.
Thanks for all the help so far Big Grin

You're very welcome friend!

I installed GBPVR for the first time last fall, and I really appreciate the ideas, ini’s and other things you have shared in your posts. If there’s anything I can do to help just let me know. I’d love to see this utility working for you, and appreciate your input greatly. Smile

If it ends up that we cant get it working, EPGExtra is also a very good solution!

Hi,

I have been browsing both this thread as well as the EPGExtra thread trying to find out if these tools might be applicable for us European users and not only Zap2it users?

I am using an XMLtv grabber which grabs all kind of tags that GBPVR does not show.

Now I am wondering if I-XMLtv or EPGextra could be helpful for me in order to show tags such as category, premier, aspect ratio, stereo, etc, etc

Many thanks in advance and apologies for my ignorance since I might be missing the bigger picture.

XMLTV GUI has an XML file import option, and a postprocessor called PrgDets that does lots of cool things.
If your grabber is supported, it’s probably just what you’re looking for.

Hi Jim, it sort of answers my question, However, the tool does not have support for my grabber and I was stuck with XMLtv import which did not supported several output files (i have 2 turners). I was also hoping for a separate program details screen in GBPVR which gave more option of displaying additional info. I guess I have to continue looking or waiting for plugin developers as my development skills are not enough.

Thanks,

\\Anders

This is such a great tool! I haven't had the time to sit down and tweak GBPVR and have been behind on some of the newest plug-ins and utilities and this one is a keeper. Very easy to set up thanks to a great explanation in the read-me. I managed to tweak the switches to my liking for now and most importantly I can tell at a glance if something is a rerun, no more looking to TitanTV for info that I knew was already being provided by Zap2it.

Thanks a bunch.

With that, here are some things that would be cool to see, and the info is already there, it's just a matter of how to access it:

-I'd like a switch option so I can display the episode number only if available in the "onscreen" numbering system. the other system is just too cryptic and clutters up the screen.
- It would be extremely cool to have a "Roll Credits" selection in GBPVRs TVGuide to see all of the info like actors, guest stars, and directors in a rolling pop-up window. This would probably be difficult but could be a long term goal if you were bored Big Grin
- A way to format the air date (probably difficult, but I wouldn't know) like mm/dd/yyyy or however your country does it.

One question, what did I mess up to cause the first air date to show up twice for some shows, (mostly older shows that are off the air)
here is my command line for TV

Code:
SET TVSwitches=/dd/() /pi/* /tp/-6

Thanks again, very cool, and totally usable just as-is with no changes

I know dude, sorry.
That's why I dusted off my (almost 20-year-old) copy of QB45. Wink Big Grin
It could probably be modified to work with other grabbers, but Zap2It provides some very specific infomation that I use.
