ComSkip Working but not 100%

I was wondering if anyone could help me with Comskip. It seems to work, ut then it doesn't.

It seems like it always misses one set of commercials per hour show.

Could someone show me a working batch file so I can compare to see what I have wrong.

I suspect you may need further help from real ComSkip gurus, but here's how it all works...

In GB-PVR configuration: processing, you have a choice for running comskip during recording (parallel) or after recording (post).

BUT these settings are superceded by the existence of either ParallelProcessing.bat or PostProcessing.bat in your GB-PVR directory.

I would suggest installing the latest Comskip, installing these files: comskip.exe, comskip.dictionary, comskip.ini and HideRun.exe into the GBPVR folder

If your computer has the power, (you'll know) I suggest enabling comskip to run during recording, and making sure there is NO ParallelProcessing.bat

If you still prefer to have comskip run after the recording you can either have GBPVR run it for you (in the config screen), or add these lines to your PostProcessing.bat

Also, to begin with at least, don't change any of the defaults in the comskip.ini...

PS.. The PostProcessing.bat sample that comes with comskip, is really for example. If you are planning on any other postprocessing utilities running, it may not be wise to use this batch file as is...

To add to Tipster's comments, TV broadcasts are different from country to country so you need to say where you live for people to provide an example copy of config.ini. I had to learn some different settings for NZ, for example. Thanks to Erik for helping me do some fine tuning. Mine is pretty darn good now but if you aint in NZ it is not much use to you.

To add to the things above.
Another thing you should do is choose (and stick with) a single video resolution and bitrate for all your captures, before you start tuning comskip. A bitrate or resolution change can make a big difference in the way comskip detects commercials. If you get things wrong, comskip CPU usage can go through the roof.
Also you can have several comskip.ini files, some channels just have more noise than others and it’s hard to make a single ini work perfectly for everything.
