I have just upgraded from 0.95 to 0.97.9. I have been using 0.95 since Christmas with a Nova-T (90002) DVB card.

The upgrade works fine except once I've scanned for channels I can't perform a rescan. I get the following error:

"GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use"

I order to rescan for channels I have to delete the capture source and create a new one.

I have uninstalled GB-PVR, removed the log files etc left behind and performed a fresh install but it has not made any difference.

Process to reproduce the problem.
Start Config
Select Capture Sources tab
Highlight the only capture source (I'm using BDA with Nova-T 90002) and DVB EPG)
Press edit
Press map digital channels to EPG channels
Error message appears

BTW I've also tried using XMLTV as the EPG source but still got the same error

Do you have the Cyberlink mux you can check, instead of the dvr-ms mux?

I had the same problem. Could not scan using the DVR-MS mux, but it worked with Cyberlink. But recording and live tv works with DVR-MS.
I can send you logs later today when I am back home.

I did install the Cyberlink DVD player when I first installed GB-PVR 0.95 but had to uninstall the Cyberlink DVD player since it caused lockups in GB-PVR

Will the 0.97 version of GB-PVR work with Cyberlink's DVD player software?

I can't try it out ATM as I don't have my Cyberlink install CD with me, would have to wait a couple of weeks, unless I can download it from the net.

Hi,
You can find the cyberlink mux in the AutoDVRconvert SW.

The Cyberlink DVD software has nothing to do with the Cyberlink mux. Its not included in this software.

Downloaded Cyberlink Mux (5.0.0813) but when I tried to record the CPU just went to 99%. Had to terminate GB-PVR and switch back to Microsoft DVR-MS.

Incidentally it did allow me to rescan my channels but all the channels it found were labelled "unknownxx" where xx is a 1 or 2 digit number.

I suggest you put GB-PVR back in the box and take it back to the store and demand a refund.
