OK I give up. I am missing something obvious.
I am using an H2 series wired MVP & GB-PVR 0.97.9, NTSC 4:3.
I have 2 problems with the MVP that I cannot figure out. Although I think that if I solve issue #1, issue #2 will go away.
My Issues:
1) I cannot get Trans2MVP.bat to run naturally from the MVP. And
2) When I get my videos transcoded (w/o Trans2MVP.bat) my videos are in the top half of the screen.
All videos are non-PVR recordings. Meaning I got them some other way then having GB-PVR record them. (I have no TV tuner.)
I have attached both my config.xml & my trans2mvp.bat files. (Renamed with *.txt extensions). I got Trans2MVP.bat from this forum thread, http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=15156
Reboots of the PC & MVP occur between each scenario. (Yes it has fallen to that).
Scenario #1
I delete Trans2MVP.bat. I select a Video from “Video Lib”. Trans2MVP.EXE appears to run. I see the video but on the top half of the screen.
No amount of fooling with the MVPOffset et. al fields in the config.xml seems to work.
Scenario #2:
I put Trans2MVP.BAT back in the “C:\Program Files\gbpvr\” folder. I select a Video from “Video Lib”. Trans2MVP.bat does not seem to run. I get no DOS box on the PC, or else it pops up and dies too fast. The MVP screen goes black, and then reboots.
Scenario #3:
On the PC, I move Trans2MVP.bat from the “C:\Program Files\gbpvr\” folder to the desktop. I drag-n-drop an AVI file onto the BAT file. It pops up the DOS box, and the *.MPG file is created in the same directory as the AVI file.
I go back to the MVP. I select the (as yet unfinished) MPG file from “Video Lib”. Nirvana. The video plays. It plays using the entire screen. As long as the instance of Trans2MVP.bat that I initiated on the PC keeps ahead of the MVP, everything works.
Analysis:
So, I am hoping that if I can figure out how to get Trans2MVP.bat to run naturally from the MVP my videos will magically start to play using the entire screen.
In 0.97.9, the MVP tab in Config no longer has the FFMpeg & FFShow options. I have to go into config.xml to change those.
I found somewhere in the forums that I need MVPTranscodeUsingFFmpeg = false (in XML format) in the config.xml. I have so modified my config.xml file, but no luck.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
