Music Library2 v6.7 - BETA

Got another one folks.

Mostly is the same as the 6.6 BETA, but I advanced the version number as I did a slight reader change again. Instead of that entagged-sharp one, which for some reason had stopped working, I've got for a pre-packaged one called taglib-sharp. It seems to be much better, including reading .flac and m4a which of the sample files I had been provided I could get read properly....

Individual functions have been tested, but I've only just loaded onto my prod system, so I haven't really given it a long test cycle, I've been concious of the time between fixes that I've been putting out.

So here is what's changed:

• Fixed a couple of bugs with loading playlists.
  
• Added some checks to playlists trying to be randomised while still loading
  
• Changed tag library (again) to taglib-sharp - available from http://www.taglib-sharp.com/Main_Page currently using the windows 2.0.2.0 version - see the notes in the 6.6 history section of the wiki page for details on the placement of the tag readers.
  
• Fixed a bug with the album art if 6.6 Beta2 (thanks cakes).
  
• Fixed a bug where pressing play on library screen would not update the playlist screen with the current tracks.
  
• removed SQLLite dll from setup package and forced MlUpdater to load the GBPVR one (not its own).
  
• If your system will play it (filters/codecs etc) this tag new tag reader "taglib-sharp" will now read .flac tags - and m4a's should now work again.

I installed this new version. I emptied the plugin directory (I am on 99.12).
Some of the settings in the setup seemed missing. I had to point to the database again. Once that was setteld and save I started a new scan. This crashed with the error: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'taglib-sharp'
The plugin configuration assures me that I do have 6.7
What might I be doing wrong?

just loaded up 6.7 beta and I'm seeing the following problems

I am running pvrx2 1.0.16 on an MVP using mvallends dongle.bin dated 24th August.

Version 6.7 still does not remember the screen it was on when the mvp screensaver kicks in, it always seems to revert to the Library screen.

If you delete a track from a playlist generated from the library using the red button, it is skipped when playing but is not removed from the playlist on screen and the displayed album art is then out by one track.

You can fix this by scrolling to the end of the playlist and pressing "ok" on the remote on the last track of the playlist, which then starts playing and gets the next set of random tracks [and presumably re-builds the current playlist] then scroll back through the playlist to where you where and press "ok" on the remote again to re-select the track which had the wrong artwork.

Had this error too. You have to add the taglib-sharp dll's to both the plugins\common and plugins\musiclibrary2 directories

When you do your update, where are you doing it? config app, mlupdater executable or in musiclibrary2 plugin.

Sorry, forgot to mention I changed the internal settings name from musiclibrary2 to musiclibrary - if you want all your old setting back you can go into config.xml and rename the <MusicLibrary2></MusicLibrary2> tags as <MusicLibrary></MusicLibrary>

"Have" to add it?? ie. it wont work at all without it, or wont work if its in one and not the other?

It sould be selectable like the ultraid3 one.

I've just tried without the tag lib and got the following:
in the config app was ok (plugins\musiclibrary2)
And in gbpvr (plugins)
and in pvrx2 (plugins\musiclibrary2)
And mlupdater from plugins\musiclibrary2

the only one I couldn't get going was mlupdater in plugins\

If this is the same as you, then leave the add as installed in plugins\musiclibrary2 then copy the dlls to plugins for your gbpvr.

Then if your using the external update command line ( i think I added itfor you didn't i??) use the one from the plugins\musiclibrary directory....

my first installs gave an error while scanning. I had to enter setup 2 or 3 times and add the taglib-shrap dll in both directories before I got it working.

thats strange, cos i've just removed thak one completely and when i look in my log i can see it using ultraid3 and wmp (taglib normally sits in the middle)

But these are saying, they're not there, so when it scans it wont (can't) use them).

The only time ive had a crash was using the mlupdater from the plugins directory...
