If you still have the old xmltv file that caused the problems, can you send it over to me? It should be relatively easy to fix if I can see the problem for myself.

That looks like you havn't entered the executable name for you WinTVCap executable in the configuration.

oopsSmile for some reason it was not remembering settings. Maybe i did not hit ok - more than likely user error

the message i get now is

using elecard/system default and VMR9/overlay then it finishes with "Please wait - Initialising channel"

cheers,

That still looks like you havn't entered the executable name for you WinTVCap executable in the configuration. Is your configuration not saving? If you go back in and look, is the settings you entered still in there?

EDIT: The picture changed in the error above, so ignore my comments. I guess they were for the last error.

the settings ae still there when i go into the config program.

Right, uninstalled GBPVR and removed the directory under C:\program files\devnz

Installed again and this sorted out my xml listings under TV Guide - are you caching somewhere?

But i still get the last error message wth any codec i use.

In overlay mode, choosing to watch a program through the TV Guide records to a live-tv.mpg but does not show it. Escapng out of the tv guide does not stop the recording.

Cheers,

Colin, I've emailed you an updated readerflt.ax file which may correct the error shown in the picture above.

Very nice! ctrl-G brings up the mini guide and I can go through it (fortunately quickly only having 5 channels!Wink - it looks really good... but hitting enter (which I'm assuming will take me to the channel) causes the video to freeze.

Cheers,
Andy

It should cause it to freeze for a couple of seconds as it changes channels and restarts the recording.

In the case of using WinTVCap in must kill the existing process, and start a new one for the new channel. Configuring it to use Direct Recording instead of WinTVCap make the pause shorter, as its all done in process.
