It's been 2 weeks since my P4 fried and I was about to do a new install of 99.12 but remembered that there were a bunch of patches I had to install, one of which was the hotfix. I was wondering if I still needed that on a new install and I'm updated?

If I do need it can someone please post a link to the hot fix?

Finally, I've noticed that the new version 1.x doesn't say that that it needs the hotfix. Does this mean I can do a clean install and install 1.x?

FYI, I'm installing 99.12 because it was very stable for me and My Vidoes works on it. If someone can tell me if My Videos works on 1.x then I just might install 1.x instead. (Reven please come back!!!)

Thanks,
Jam.z

For your videos, you should look at JavaWiz's plugin...

Wow, that plugin has improved immensely since it came out. Unfortunately, for me a big part is the ability to use external players. I use My Videos to launch VLC to play my DVDs because the ability to go right into the ISO movie without trailers is killer. I hate the stupid FBI warnings. Imagine a fussy baby that needs his Baby Einstein right now...but wait he's got to read the FBI warnings..garrrrggghghghgh. Oh crap, no I have to press play on main menu....gaaarrrrgghghgh.

I know I can rip it out using DVD shrink or something like that, but I'm finding it difficult to find the time. I'd rather play with my son.

Cheers,
jam.z

my videos works with 1.0.0.16 as long as you use gbpvr.exe and not pvrx2 (whete it kind or works but the screen behaves a little odd)

I still use 99.12 - patches available at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/graham_s/GBPVR9912PATCHES/
But I think I read that the gbpvr included with the new version is 99.12 with all the patches - but really don't know.

The "old" gbpvr that comes with 1.16 is ~ the same as 99.12.

but presumably 1.16 includes all the fixes that were supplied in the 99.12 patches.
