Been waiting for an HD skin for awhile. This just might fill the bill. Looking forward to its release and a well deserved 'atta-boy' to dottore!

attached is a music-library screen in icon-view with a glossy overlay. the xml-structure of most of the plugins makes those overlays possible, so why not "style" the album art too?

after thinking on the osd (and posting an image here) i will make the skin. i will start with the basic plugins, then make it available and then add other plugins according to your wishes.

please post suggestions and, when it will be released, errors.

Wow, the album art looks amazing.

I feel cheated not having a widescreen telly! I might be defeating the obvious point here.... but i have to ask.... is it possible to get a 4:3 version?
(or will i have to finally stump up for that LCD tv i want!)

maybe... it is totally made for 16:9 as you can see (sidebar for instance). but when there is enough interest, i will make a 4:3-version too...

I would really like to see how you pull off the music and video library plugins like in that demo screenshot.:eek:

Those two plugins are my weakest link on figuring out how to tweak them.:o

ok, won't work in music and video library. in the new photo library and in the my-series it will work, i think. hmmm.......maybe sub could make some little changes to the basic plugins for the next release?

If you would have pulled it off I would have begged for the code like a puppy at the dinner table.

i don't understand... do you mean the basic plugins? this is how photo library does the job. there is also a @thumbnail-image in this plugin. i would do something like this:

<composite image......
<drawimage background>
<drawimage task>
<drawimage thumbnail>
<drawimage overlay>
<drawtext>
<drawimage active> <-- if the icon is the active element
</compositeimage>

would be nice, if the other basic-plugins could do the same thing. this will work in photo library and many other plugins.
