Audio video sync problems

I am having problems with audio video sync when I fast forward, skip, or resume a mpeg file. I do not do any playing from my console so this is happening on my mvp's. The mpeg files are ripped dvd's. I have tried using retime, and transcoding the file through vlc to try to fix the timing problem. The same effect on the files created by both programs. The odd thing is that if just let the file play or just pause it everything works perfectly.

Any ideas how to resolve this would be greately appreciated.

This may not apply to MVP, but it's probably worth a shot:

GBPVR-Config > Playback tab -- try using "Overlay manager" instead of VMRx

my lipsync problems (exactly like yours) were resolved by completely uninstalling (not judt deselecting) FFDSHOW.
