- NetRadio and MP3s now also working with XCard. NetRadio can be slow to start, I'm not sure why yet - still investigating.

Try reducing the buffer size from 96K to something considerably smaller. I think you will see a big change in startup time.

(all replies in one big post here)

That shouldn't matter, they should be able to help you no matter where you are. If you can purchase the product online (which ships anywhere) then you should be able to get support anywhere. I'd at least send an e-mail to Hauppauge HQ and explain what's going on. The worst they can say is "piss off" right? Wink

The password thing wasn't a big deal, I'm just not used to pw fields being clear text. I used a common pw for zap2it, so I guess I can change that.

As far as the MCE remote CH +/- I was just giving you feedback on what was and was not functioning. Enabling these obviously would be pretty low priority [Image: smile.gif]

As I said about the recording conflict, it's leaps and bounds above what was in place before. If you can get the rec season conflict popup going then we can move on from that whole thing [Image: smile.gif]

I've never actually used my Hauppauge remote so I didn't know the Red/Blue/Yellow/Green buttons actually had uses. Is there documentation somewhere on what those buttons are actually for? In fact, do you need help with getting documentation done?

Also, what about the numeric keys on the MCE remote, do I have it setup incorrectly?

Thanks [Image: smile.gif]

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]...and now for the bad news. It looks like my Hauppauge PVR350 may have died yesterday. Oh crap - this potentially a large problem for me.

I've tried it two different machines with the same behaviour from both. The card seems to think its installed ok, but I cant get any video from it. Everything is just black.

####, that's exactly what my first PVR350 did. If it's bought in the EU you should have a 2 year warrenty and shipping the card to Holland should be cheaper than buying a new one?

Sub, time to atart pimping GBPVR with Hauppauge and get comp'd a card or two. I have a shareware webcam app that wasn't working with one of their capture cards, one email later and I had one at my house from them at no charge a few days later. Companies LOVE apps that use their hardware [Image: smile.gif]

Oh one more thing to add to my long post above (which still needs to be replied to) [Image: wink.gif] I had an idea about the MCE remote. For the channel change button, instead of having it do nothing, how about having that be page up/down and having the arrow keys just be the channel change? That would make it a lot faster to navigate the tv guide.

glassvial, with the MCE remote in the TV Guide you can use the number buttons followed by "OK" to go straight to a specific channel.

You should also be able to use the number buttons in th manual recordings page to set the recording times and the channel number.

Or do these numeric keys on the MCE remote not work for you?

Figures, for some strange reason it works now. Before (at least with livetv) hitting channel number then enter didn't do anything. Maybe it was when I was still using the zap2it listings instead of going back to xmltv. Is it possible to setup a second capture source with the same card and a zap2it profile so I can test that or would I have to wipe out all my settings again?

Yes, you probably could but the guide will probably look a bit of a mess. You'll also have to manually avoid using the two capture source at the same time.
