very nice skin, but i am also having a few problems with this skin.

my current screen resolution is 1768 x 992.

i have attached a small cut out from the main menu screen.

i am also experiencing cutoff of the channel name in the tv guide.

i have downloaded you latest version, but wonder if i placed the font in the wrong directory. which directory should the font be placed in?

i was having this problem with files before. what i did was extract them to the default directory (winrar) and then rename the unzipped files to have a .zip extension. because it appears to have no file extension when you unzip the downloaded file....adding the file extension worked on many different files from this site for me. then you could open that file with winzip/rar and retreive the files within.

You know, when I made the suggestion I didn't even think about the sidebar having to be removed.

dottore Wrote:the viewable time slot is something i cannot change in the skin. you must edit the config.xml to do that.

Ah, I didn't realize that was forced in config.xml.

dottore Wrote:i think, the sidebar should stay where it is (for the inset, the plugin title and the task-image). the description will move at the bottom and a few channels will be removed.

is that ok?

Honestly, I'd be happy with just a few channels being removed.

@mclizzle: you should copy the font to windows\fonts. or open the control panel -> fonts and drag the extracted font there. it just seems to be a font-problem.

@all the others: thanks for the replies, i'll have a look at the errors and correct them as soon as i can.

I agree the sidebar graphic should stay to keep the theme running through the whole skin. Sounds like a good idea to keep inset, plugin title and task image on the sidebar. Moving the description for the programme to the bottom would give more space for the description.

here's a new version with fully working osd, a new tv-guide and fixes to the main menu. as ever the next step is the search-guide, net radio, fm radio....

comments are welcome, especialy the osd, i can't fully test it, no dvb around here....

p.s.: i had to pack two zips, one containing the skin the other containing the font. so please install the font first and then the skin. uh, forgot to mention: it works with the latest release of the base library-plugins.

Just tried the OSD, and it looks as if the text is a bit low, its going off the bottom of the screen

Enabled the VA panel on the main menu and its showing the panel on the left hand side, I expected it to be on the righthand panel :eek:

Recording Soon still missing the end date Smile

Had a quick play with the OSD skin file and the following settings improve the position of the title and description

Code:
        <CompositeImage name="Timeshift" size="720,480">
            <DrawImage filename="..\_res\osd_bottom.png" size="720,130" loc="0,350"/>
            <DrawImage filename="@channelIcon" loc="625,400" size="60,45" visible="true"/>
            <DrawText text="@title" loc="30,360" size="500,30" textStyle="OSDText" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="@description" loc="30,380" size="600,90" textStyle="OSDText" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="@time" loc="500,360" size="190,30" textStyle="OSDText" align="Right"/>
