Last time I used the program (about a week ago) everything was fine. Now Live TV will play for between 1 and 2 minuted then freeze. The program is still active (I can press esc to get to menu) and then go back to Live TV for another couple of minutes before the same happens again.

I know its not an aerial issue as Showshifter plays the channels happily fo hours.

Things I've tried:

New version (97.13)
Different BDA Multip-lexers
Different Audio / Video decoders
Changed the Live TV buffer
Changed the drive for Live TV buffer.

I now really don't know what to do.

This happens both on my PC and on my MVP

Can you reproduce them problem, then zip and attach your logs?

Can you post the output from muxchecker?

This is the line that always appears in the error logs, quite often repeated

23:12:29.265 VERBOSE checking signal stats took total: 16ms (1,1,16,100).....(,0,0,0)

OK - I've uninstalled everything video related, including graphics card drivers, and just reinstalled GBPVR with Twinhan Driver for multiplex. Problem still occurs.
Noticed something else though. If I leave it for about 5 secs after the freeze, the info box comes up telling me that no signal is detected. Now I know for a fact that the signal is good as it will play fine on Showshifter.

I also noticed that earlier, when Hauppauge WinTv was installed, the freezing problem happened in that program too.

Starnge. Anyone any suggestions?

Think I've solved it - dodgy usb card - moved to another USB port on the board and all seems fine.

I had something similar (locking up, not recording, 'no signal' message) on mine recently. Tracked it down to an internal flash memory card reader connected to the internal socket of a PCI USB card.

If that card reader is plugged in then my Hauppauge Nova-T USB2 is unreliable. It doesn't matter whether I have the Nova-T plugged into the same USB card or one of the mobo ports, or if it's connected through a powered hub, or even if all other USB devices are unplugged. (And before anyone mentions power supplies, I've got a Hiper 580W psu in my system!Smile ) BTW, the card reader works fine regardless of what the Nova-T is doing. Very strange!
