The Weather plugin specifies the font "Arial Narrow" / "bold" which is not available on many GBPVR systems, depending on the OS. When the font is not available, another, wider, font is substituted and the text fields run over each other.

BTW, I have found that "Impact" / "regular" fits well.

I have the same problem (well, at least the same symptom).

where and how do I control the font for the weather plugin?
* Rogers Analog Cable [Canada]
* Hauppauge WintTV PVR USB2
* IBM Thinkpad T42 / 1GB Mem / Centrino 1.6Ghz / 60GB HD / ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 + VGA/DVI out
* MCE Remote + Keyboard
* Win XP SP2 / GBPVR [Latest version. always]
* Pioneer HDTV via VGA (1360x768)
* MS Remote Keyboard
* Logitech Harmony 880 [via MS Remote Control Reciever]

Look in the weaher sub subdirectory of your active skin and edit the weather's skin.xml file.

I see many place of font there. Most say either "Arial Narrow" or "Tahoma".
There's also the file "Horizontal extended forecast skin.xml" that comes with the plugin install.
Can I use it instead of skin.xml?

If you rename your skin.xml file to something like vertical skin.xml and rename horizontal skin.xml to skin.xml that is all there is to it. To change the font, just edit Arial Narrow to be whatever else you want. You will probably need to restart GBPVR for the chnages to take effect.

BTW, I believe the Impact font is available on all versions of Windows.

Impact looks a heavy to me, but I will change the blue skin to use it. I have an update I plan to post tomorrow anyway so I will include it in that.

I just found this web site http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs.../fonts.htm and it says that Impact is not included in Windows XP. I will redo the blue weather skin with something safe, like plain arial. The update will probably not be posted until tomorrow.

Microsoft says otherwise,
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/winxp.htm
but anything that works is okay by me.
