I found some bugs in v0.21:

1. My Hauppauge remote only works with v0.21 when i close ir.exe before starting gb-pvr.

2. The gb-pvr windows doesn't have a title anymore, perhaps this explains the problems with ir.exe

3. When i choose "back" in live-tv, i get a black window with the message ""Please Wait - Initializing Channel" and i have to close gb-pvr in the task-manager. Going back by choosing "menu" works perfect?!

Someone earlier noted pressing the "home" key on your keyboard is equivalent to pressing "menu" on the remote,

Colin.

The problem with ir.exe is resolved. I used the "-noframe" parameter and after removing it, ir.exe works without problems [Image: wink.gif]

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] (krypton_john @ Sep. 08 2004,05:11)]Downloaded installed and restarted - all a piece of cake!

I'm having one problem though: While watching live TV, I press <esc> to exit, and I get a black screen with the text "Please Wait - Initializing Channel" on it. This never goes away so I have to terminate the GBPVR.exe process. However if I press <Home> it exits nicely, only showing that message for a brief moment. Have the keyboard shortcuts changed, other than the number keys for the main menu?

Me too - I get the same issue, and also it locks up after viewing a movie so that I have to forcefully exit. If I press Back to stop partway through a video, it goes back to the video llibrary screen but no keys or buttons will work....?
You can press <Home> rather than <esc>- that seems to work nicely for me. I Just changed my remote control config to send <Home> for the <Stop> key and everything's fine now.

Yes, the Hauppauge remote program looks at the time bar of the application to determin which app it is. You can still use Hauppauge remote with GB-PVR and the -noframe option, but you need to stop ir.exe and enable the 'direct access to hauppauge remote' option.

It seems, that it wasn't the "-noframe" parameter which caused the trouble with the hauppauge ir.exe, it was the "-topmost" parameter [Image: biggrin.gif]

Now it works nearly perfect, but i've still some trouble with the SBE feature. After pausing liveTV and using FFW to skip some time, i can't use the pause function anymore, because after that, SBE shows me an negative time and FFW stops working.

I wish, i could find a solution for that problem, then gb-pvr would be the best digital video-recording solution for me! Great work!

ir.exe will only send the remote control command to an application if it is the *active* window. Being "top most" makes the window always visible, but it doesn't make it active. Again, this can also be solved by stopping ir.exe and enable the 'direct access to hauppauge remote' option.
