Ta very much indeed. No tease intended.
Finally some hope of getting back to GBPVR on the MVP. This is a replacement MVP as my last one got fried in a recent thunderstorm along with:
2 TV's
DVD/TV combi
DVD Player
PS2
PS1
Freeview Box
Wifi router
Aerial Booster/Distributer
Household Alarm
3 Telephones
Shower Extractor fan (WTF?)
And despite having surge protection on the power (but sadly not the phone wire or aerial) the MVP server suffered a hit (small scorch mark on mobo) It still worked but the onboard LAN had died and due to a shortage of PCI ports (no room for LAN card) I felt I had enough justification for an insurance claim :-)
With all you guys (and girls) investing so much time and money in your PVRs I recommend surge protection for power, telephone and aerial :-)
