[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]Can I easily get back to my 0.22.7 after a 0.23 install in case the newest release is not stable enough for my setup?
Nope. You cant go backwards. You'll need to uninstall, delete your GB-PVR directory, then reinstall.

That said, if you do move to the new release and do have specific items which you think are not stable enough, make sure you let me know what they are, or chances are I wont be fixing them.

The current list of known items are for the most part not very serious, so I cant think of anything specific that should prompt a user to go back a version.

Sub,

I think you scared people a little when you said "if you're after a super stable system, this may not be the release for you".

I think most people (including myself) like to wait a few days before upgrading since on occassion there is a update within that time.

I just upgraded and have had no problems. Great release love the VBR.

darrin75,

What plugins do you rely on that are not working? Please post to support.

Sub,
I installed v0.23.8 yesterday, after having removed all plugins. THis worked great. I'm VERY pleased with the new release. In particular the fact that I don't get kicked out of a running recording is great. Now timeshifting is a real pleasure: I can schedule a recording, start watching it and skip the commercials!
Also the new SUB-menu layout is great in combination with my touchscreen. I think I'll have to fiddle a bit what the best setup is but it's great that this is possible now.
Then the panels! As I'm using the red sky theme I had to fiddle a bit to get it working, but the information is great.

BTW. I can think of somehting for the next release: touchscreen support [Image: wink.gif] (in particular a back button and scrollbar-like thingies).

But I'm a VERY satisfied customer. It was sure worth the wait.

Hi sub,

I am here in Germany, I installed in the past Beyond-Tv from Snapstream - good program, but bad TV-Out; Sage-TV 2.0 - worked fine until the new version 2.1.xx - at the end I installed the GBPVR version 0.21 (or so) - Installation easy - funktion good - very good plug-in list - really nice features - super TV-OUT with PVR-350 - very very goog implementation for import XMLTV datas.

I read the the change.log for the 0.23 version, it sounds very interesting.

You make a very good job and the program will be the best on market.

I can only help You by installing and testing your software.

I am missing a sub section for German users and their problems like getting XMLTV datas and PAL resolution.

Thanks for this program.

Hi there,

Probably missing something obvious here, but how is the new "Record" button feature suposed to work. If I press it whilst watching LiveTv, nothing happens. When I leave LiveTV I can't find the recording anywhere.

Also, my list of recordings seem to disappear, probably after each restart of the recording service (although I'll have to check that). Is that normal?

Cheers

If you press ctrl-k do anything?

No, your recordings shouldn't disappear. Please confirm if this happens.

Nop, Ctrl-K doesn't do anything either. Could you confirm what I should see. Any confirmation that it's being recorded, programme appears in the Recordings section? After quiting my LiveTV Buffer directory is empty.

Ignore my disappearing recording list. I've restarted the Recording service and they are still there. Definately lost a couple of lists without doing anything like reinstalling etc though. I'll keep a closer eye on it and let you know if it happens again.

Thanks, Rob

If you're watching live tv and press ctrl-k, the OSD bar colour should change from dark blue to dark red, and it'll no longer allow you to change channels (until you press ctrl-k again, or exit livetv). Does the OSD go red?
