Fatal AccessViolationExcepton

I upgraded to the latest version and it works well except for one issue. When I exit GBPVR.exe after watching TV, the GBPVR recording service throws a System.AccessViolationException and must be restarted. Attached is my log file. Any ideas???

Is there a message in the Windows Event Viewer? If so, can you post the text?

Are you running NOD32, Panda Antivirus or Netlimiter? These are known to cause these sorts of problem with .net remoting, which is used by GB-PVR.

The error message in the event viewer:

Faulting application GBPVRRecordingService.exe, version 1.0.2379.26393, faulting module CsLsp.dll, version 1.0.1046.1, fault address 0x00008dc8.

I suspect CsLsp.dll is part of some anti-virus or firewall software, and causing the same problem as the apps I identified above. A quick google looks like this is a McAfee file. You could find the file on your hard drive and look at the properties to see who the manufacturer is.

Assuming that is the case, all I can suggest is:

1) uninstalling that particular application
2) or, setting up an exclusion filter for the GB-PVR processes
3) or, contact the manufacturer and ask them to fix it.
