I noticed that my Philips TV pulls in a lot more digital stations. If the CRC options in the BDA "advanced" menu are disabled, Config then crashes when it reaches a nonblank channel.
I've been doing this during a rainstorm, with an amplified attic corner reflector UHF antenna. These conditions could be considered borderline weak signal, but the Philips pulls in the stations just fine.
I wonder if the superior ability of the Philips relates to handling bad CRC more gracefully? Is there anything you could look at?
