Can the hauppauge remote start the recordings menu?

I'd like to program the Hauppauge remote in irremote.ini to map the Go button to enter the recordings menu.

However, I can't find a shortcut key to enter recordings from the main menu, either in the forums or on the wiki.

Is this possible? How would I do it?

Sorry, there is no shortcut key for this.

If you're already somewhere in the menu you can go to a specific menu item by number. If your "Record" menu item is number two for example you can try:

GO=2{enter}

i can't believe i have the scoop on Sub! at least on my system,it works by hitting F8...[the regular Recordings menu]
i noticed this while trying keys for my MCE remote..

GO button to {F8} works like a charm.

Before that I had tried {ESC}{ESC}2{ENTER} for the GO button, which worked, but not as well as your solution.

Note that the double escape sequence was necessary when in the on screen guide in LiveTV--for most situations one escape would suffice, but two doesn't hurt.

One wierd thing is that escape takes on back just one directory at a time in photo library, while in video library or music library it goes straight back to the menu. Inconsistency?

I just checked, and video library behaves just the same as the photo library for me. Remember it only take you back a directory if the file list is currently active. If the buttons on the left are active, then it'll go back to the main menu.

It would be really great if the mappings of MVP remote keys could be made flexible (i would like to be able to go directly to Recordings or Photo library with the MVP remote as well).
