I found a working bda driver for the Freecom DVB-T Stick with a letter in the serial number (manufactured after January):

It's the DNT Vol. 5:

Hi all,

JR2000's bda driver for the post February 2006 Freecom stick seems to work very well with GBPVR.

Thanks for finding the driver.

Hi,

I have one of these from March 2006 but cannot get any of these alternatives to work at all. Have followed all the tutorials and none work... Any ideas on how to do this?

BTW I hear that the devices made in May 2006 onwards have BDA drivers on the CD :mad: Found out on the amazon.co.uk reviews page for the device.

I've just downloaded Freecom's new BDA drivers from their website - just posted there in the last 24 hours. No luck as yet getting them to work scanning channels in GBPVR as yet....

Hi,

I'm having a similar problem getting GB-PVR to work with the BDA drivers keep getting this when scanning for channels;

Code:
---------------------------

---------------------------
GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Then I get;

Code:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Any ideas?

That implies the names contained in bda.ini for the device you have selected does not match the names used by the drivers. You'll need to update bda.ini to reflect the correct names. You can find the correct names using GraphEdit. If you do this, post the correct names here so I can update the master bda.ini file.

Its been described a few times in the past. Try use the forum search feature to search for 'bda.ini graphedit'. It should turn up a few hits.

What device type did you select when you setup your capture source? You should have selected "Freecom DVB type2"
