Not sure if this helps but the Avermedia UltraTV 550 uses the Conexant cx23880 chip (the exact # is cx23880-19, on mine at least)

Alrighty.... NewEgg was holding back a shipment of the old M150 and M179 cards and are now on sale.
The M150 is 57$ USD and the M179 is 55$ USD. Below is the link to the M150 card. Shipping is only 0.99$ USD to anywhere in the USA. Enjoy. I'll be ordering mine at weeks end... AND FINALLY BE ABLE TO USE GB-PVR!!!! NewEgg AverMedia M150

M150, M179 are way diff form each other and 500, 550 are way diff from both M150, M179 all of them have diff setup.
Far as I know this what under the hood of AVerMedia UltraTV Media Center PCI 500, 550 are base on Conexant CX23880 Video Decode and it also has Hardware NEC PD61xxx MPEG2 Encoder. AVerMedia M150 (BlackBird) Conexant CX23880/CX23416 AVerMedia M172 (BlackBird) Conexant CX23880/CX23416 AVerMedia M179 Conexant CX23415 Your going need lean how to use Graph Edit becuase they haven't posted and unpack driver package or you could alway sent me your card for a few week so I can fig it out other then that set down and lean Graph Edit if it even has a DirectShow driver. I start by looking under âWDM Streaming Multiplexer Devices or WDM Streaming Capture Devicesâ hope there a listing for the following Encoder if not start huntting it down. Fell free to check out the How Build a Graph on shspvr.com that shoud get you started.

The Ultra TV 500 has the same Conexant chipset as the M150, so why do you say I'd have to do all that just to make a modification to the ini file? Please correct your english so I can understand your post. Or you can post it in your native language and I will translate. Thank you.
