Can I have some more info please. according to the debug file you sent your machine cann't find IE which I don't believe because you've downloaded the Icons.

Can you run it again and send a screenshot please ?

Also did it create the logo directory ? If so what happen you you select Directory from main menu and then select logo folder and select next ?

Thanks for your feedback...

Nope, it doesn't create the logo directory. As soon as I click Next when the logo webpage is displayed, I get this error window:

Folks,

Thanks to H00ch, Fuzzweek, Digital712 for the info.

I'll looked at the link from Fuzzweek and I understand that post which means I understand the message, the question is what next.

According the post a workaround is if you copy microsoft.mshtml.dll from C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\Primary Interop Assemblies to C:\program files\channel logo tool\ it should work.

The Correct solution is for me to rewrite the browser control in .NET2 with Bill's latest changes which will take a few days.....

Thanks for the reply. I couldn't see the directory you listed for microsoft.mshtml, but searched and found a copy on my C drive (PSPvideo9 had a copy in it's program folder). I put this into the channel logo folder and got one step further. It opened uip the save dialogue but then I got this as soon as i clicked "OK"....

So maybe it's best to wait for your rewrite!! good luck - I'm looking forward to it Smile

okay, I went through and manually got the icons from the web, and was using your tool to install the pics.

but I have a suggestion for the next update--

all the pics I got are .jpg, but the program only looks for .gif
if I manually type .jpg for each selection, it will show them to me, and your program seems to convert to .gif

can you make it show the .jpg files in the begining??

Thanks Fuzzweed for testing the Microsoft Suggested workaround....

I've started the rewrite..

What ticks me off is, the control which is 'broken', is ok to display the web page but you cann't read the HTML from it...

Anyway......

I'll added JPG support, it's going to be easy.... I'll add it to next release....

Yes It works converts everything to GIF, It's never been a problem because the tool downloads and converts everything to GIF anway hence never a problem but I can change it with little effort.

Folks,

Here it is.....

I've add a Microsoft prerequisits install, which you need to run before you run CLT for the first time.

I've also added :-

Support for JPG and all other images file formates
OpenFileDiaglog now opens with thumbnails pre selected
Added Progress bar down image download
Converted to .NET 2.0 browser support (hence the need for the prerequisits file)

You can download it here:- http://www.systemshark.com/channellogotool_v3.40.zip
