Can I also get 246023b.bin?
Thanks

Yeah, I'd suggest trying it wired.
Quote:Note, that I have no trouble at all with the Hauppauge software (except for the rubbish interface of course!).Its interface is largely solid colours, so the screens compress much more for transportation across the network.

24023b dongle seems to have done the trick - at first glance anyway. Menu is back to normal, music and movies now play. Will give you more feedback later when I've had more time to play around with it and when I try adding new skins and plugins. In the meantime I'm going to bed!
Many thanks. TP

LOL! My wireless keyboard freaked out. I have a new MVP Rev H2 Lot 1506. I had a problem with vertical sync on the TV. The GBPVR menu was in black and white and skipping. Dongle 24110 fixed the problem. Thanks, Kevin

jksmurf,
In my attempt to get my MPV working 100% I'm going to try the dongle version route. I have an H3 version MVP and I currently am using the dongle contained in MVP software 32.24125b that I downloaded a couple weeks ago and is still currently available on Hauppauge's website at http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/s...thirdparty The version of this software at the Hauppauge site is shown as 3.2.24125B and once unzipped and installed creates a dongle.bin with a file size / date / time of 2441KB 5/5/2006 4:25am which corresponds to your list as DONGLE_32_24142b_Not_a_Good_Dongle_See_wwwshspvrcom.bin Since the size / date / time match, there seems to be a discrepancy with the numbers between your list and the actual dongle.bin? Anyhow, my H3 works well with dongle 32_24125b except that it has the Hauppauge OSD splash screen that covers the bottom 1/3 of the screen for about 5 seconds on every button press and while watching live TV, it will often crash back to 'contacting server' and I find I have to power the MVP off and back on to get it to connect. It also seems to be prone to this crash when using the exit/back button on the remote while watching live TV. All other functions such as playing music, watching recorded TV, viewing photos, viewing wmv video files works reliably. What I'd like to try is dongle 32_24110b and 25_24023b and see what the differences are. Note, I have 30_24088 but have yet to try it because I just now spent the time correlating size / date / time of the four dongles I currently have to your list. Do you have these and can you send them to me please? I'll report my findings on this thread. Many thanks to you and everyone elses input on this. Rick

Rick, you are correct, there does seem to be a discrepancy or rather a MATCH which shouldn't be there. I got that info from which says MediaMVPSetup Release Notes: Date Version Author Description --------- ---------- ---------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 05/22/06 3.2.24142b Aaron Ho 1.Fix some MPEG video no display of video duration. 05/05/06 3.2.24125b Aaron Ho 1.Update firmware to 1.1.42 2.Fix menu button malt function when browse media. 3.Correct OSD position when video format set to PAL. Downloading BOTH and extracting the dongles again however results in exactly the same dates as before. Unfortunately Hauppauge beta site where dongles are available from does not have ALL the dongles listed. In any case neither is a popular dongle, esp. for your H3. Will send you a PM. Thanks for your feedback btw, most appreciated. k. [EDIT] I see there is now a 32_24179b. Will also add that to the list shortly but date and time are IDENTICAL to the previous two.

Thanks jksmurf. Here's my report. Remember I'm running wireless.
FYI, tried gbmvp.bin (aka gbmvp_GBPVR_Beta_Dongle.bin) and it causes continuous vertical scrolling after MVP boot. 30-24088 - causes vertical scrolling after contacting servers and then loops on contacting servers. 32_24125b - works for everything... sort of... but has Hauppauge splash screen and yellow bars and will fail to contacting servers during watching live TV intermittantly and almost every time using back/exit button. 25_24023b - won't assign an IP address... seems to not be a late enough version to work with wireless. 32_24110 - works for everything... so far... seems solid in my 5 minutes of testing. No Hauppauge splash screen or yellow bars. If it so much as hiccups, I'll report. back Rick
