Can you clarify on this? no (other) MVP services. Is that including hauppage MVP services even if I disable or set to manual. How about GBPVR services?

The short answer:
You can have whatever MVPserver software installed but it must not be started. (services disabled or manual, not started will be fine)
The long answer:
OK, it all comes down to the port 16881 that MVP uses in its search for avilable servers. If that port is occupied on the listening server by GBPVR, the original Hauppauge software or any other software compatible with the MVP then MVP WOL service cannot be started.
If any MVPserver software is installed but not started, that's OK.
If any MVPserver is started after MVPWOL service is started I doubt that MVPserver will work properly.
I really can't see the point in having MVPsoftware installed on the same server as MVPWOL is installed. If the MVP server is up and running what's the point in waking a second one up?:confused:
Is there a way (with hauppauge dongle) to switch between running MVPservers with just the remote?
