Maybe try Overlay instead of VMR.

Sorry, I dont have any previous versions of GB-PVR. The playback isnt done by GB-PVR though, it just asks directshow to do it.

Would it be worth me trying different versions of the quartz.dll file or would i just experience the same problem with my compro software if this was the cause of the problem.

Does it do this with both your PVR150 and T300?

I am using version 78.01 at the moment but i have tried loads of different drivers all with the same results.

I get the same problem with both my pvr 150 and my t300 i also get the problem playing back recording aswell.

Cheers Jase.

I'm using the Cyber decoder myself, and can ONLY get smooth playback with Overlay turned on rather than VMR. I have a 16:9 TV so I really miss the great F7 options that seem to come with VMR, but the alternative is jittery, missed-frame playback that's simply un-wife-ceptable.

I particularly don't like how pillarbox slides my video & image slightly to the right of the screen (off-center), but what're ya gonna do?

So it looks like, until I can find a better solution that supports VMR, I'm stuck with Overlay.

Using overlay doesn't seem to make any difference for me, i dont think its a decoder problem for me. But i seem to of tried every think else except going back to a previous version of gbpvr.

Cheers Jase.

In my brief experience, getting just the right playback quality is a juggling act. It's no single thing, but rather finding that magic combination.

Cyberlink decoder with overlay is currently the clear winner, but yesterday I tried the Dscaler decoder with overlay and got jumpy playback again, so it's clearly not just the overlay manager setting, but a combination of codecs & settings.
