On the recordings page, would it be possible to highlight or otherwise indicate any reoccuring recordings that don't have any scheduled recordings?
(And if the same could be added to the web admin that would be great too)
The reason I ask is that I've had several instances recently where my reoccuring recordings have failed for one of the following reasons:
1) Guide data programme name change - for example I set a reoccuring recording for "Time Trumpet", the first episode recorded fine, but subsequent episodes didn't. The guide data had changed the name to "Time Trumpet with Iannucci". I've remade the reoccuring recording for that name now, but have missed an episode
2) Programme time change - sometimes the broadcaster changes the time slot for a given programme meaning that the reoccuring recording stops working (I set most of my reoccuring recordings to the exact time of the show as some shows are repeated several times during the day and I don't want multiples of the same episode)
3) Programme skips a week - sometimes a bank holiday in the uk or other special occassion (world cup for example) means that programmes in a series might skip a few weeks.
I've also been bitten by an old reoccuring recording suddenly springing back to life (Alias) one weekend while Bravo had an "Alias Weekend" and subsequently ended up with about 80 gigs worth of unwanted programmes taking up space!
Highlighting reoccuring recordings that don't have any scheduled recordings would mean that in all cases of the above it would be easy to spot and investigate before the "disaster" occurs as opposed to after the wife has given me earache as to why her favourite programme has failed to record again
Would that something that you could add?
Thanks,
Martyn
