Howdy - just installed straight to 0.60b
using a 4 * 20 lcd on parallel port - all that working fine with LCD Smartie -
getting Media Centra Unavailable even though GBPVR is running-
and when I try to change to a live program
I get an exception

the box only has .net 2.0 installed - is this an issue ?

The plug-in should work with .NET 2.0. No idea why you're getting the error that you are though. Perhaps it has something to do with the "Media Centre Unavailable" message, which says to me that the plug-in has not been configured properly. Have you set the plug-in up and configured it as per the instructions when you downloaded it?

appologies to all -
rule 1 dont install and try to make stuff work late and night when tired -

tuirned out to be the third party dlls - i forgot to install the common and idtag
dlls.

Installed these and problem gone.

just a note -
it was found that GBPRVLCD and GBPVRcli dont seem to like coexisting -
if the GBPVRLCD dll is loaded and CLI is run i would get an exception -
in the end i removed the dll and am existing solely on gbpvrcli at the moment.

Thanks for the information, Rayman.

I took a look at your posts in the other thread and see Mister Slimm has speculated that this may be the cause:

The plugin DLL is loaded whenever GBPVRcli loads because GBPVRcli loads GBPVR library routines to perform its functions. These libraries run an initialisation which includes parsing plugins. Perhaps because GBPVR isn't actually loaded the initialisation routines in the LCD plugin crash. Perhaps you could get confirmation or otherwise of this from the developer of that plugin.

In the meantime, could you please post the exception you are getting, including any relevant entries in the GBPVR logs.
