When I skip ahead in mpg files I've converted from xvid (see command below) the av gets out of sync by a second or so. If I jump back a minute or two, then forward a minute or two they sometimes line up perfectly again. Annoying but tolerable. This only happens with mpg files I've converted (mpg->xvid->mpg), not when they're "hot of f the presses" from the pvr150.

My Trans2mvp.bat looks like this:

"c:\program files\ffmpeggui03c\ffmpeg" -i %1 -target ntsc-svcd -acodec copy -s 3
60x240 %2

I remember having the same problem, and I got better results with the switch "-f svcd" instead of "-target ntsc-svcd".

I just tried your suggestion, but the output mpg video was very blocky. Maybe I need to raise the video bitrate. Audio seemed to handle a skip or two but after a few skips the av sync got lost too. What is your entire ffmpeg command line? Also if you could check the version# too. Thanks.

I think when only using the -f svcd switch, ffmpeg defaults to a very low bitrate, so that may cause the blockiness.

my line is:
ffmpeg.exe -y -i %1 -b 3000 -acodec copy -r 25 -s 720x576 -f svcd %2
(dimensions only for PAL)

ffmpeg.exe is build 3277056 from Dec 7 2005 15:21:54

I finally got around to trying your parameters, but unfortunately they don't seem to be doing the trick.
