I am using Overlay, and in the last version of GB-PVR I can toggle the Aspect Ratio Mode.
All of them are working fine but the Auto mode. When I select Auto AspectRatio Mode (0,0,1,1 in the Config file), I get a Black video. This happens trying with several different Video Decoders.
I use Overlay Manager because VMR is using too much CPU for my computer.

Is there something I can do to make the Auto Aspect Ratio Mode work?

And this is a little detail. When I use LetterBox aspect ratio, the top/bottom black areas are not really black. They are like grey(little blue). Is this supposed to be like that? Can I get them completely Black?

Thanks,
Joaquin

I have read in the forums that the aspect ratio is not as comprehensive when using overlay (and I think it may have changed with one of the more recent releases too), so this may explain your problem. If you search the forums for overlay + aspect ratio, I expect you'll turn up a few conversations discussing it. ***edit*** I've just had a search and people have deffinately had similarish problems before, especially with Nvidia cards - have a look through this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...pect+ratio see if any of it is relevant
As for your grey bars I would guess this is most likely down to the settings on your graphics card. Maybe have a play with the video settings (contrast etc.) for your card to see if you can get a true black without loosing definition in the picture.

as a work around you could always map F7 to one of your remote buttons so you can manually change the aspect ratio. you just need to add a line to your irremote.ini file in c:\windows.

I already mapped a remote key to the Aspect Ratio Toggle, so the "Auto Aspect Ratio" problem is not very Critical. I can easily switch Aspect Ratio from my remote.
I saw some of these threads that you tell me but I didn't really find a solution.
I will search some more in the Forum.

Thanks,
Joaquin

try 0.01,0.01,0.99,0.99 and see if it isn't just going off screen...
overlay won't work with the ones that go offscreen...
[that's why only 3 usually work in overlay mode]
just a thought..
