In the GBPVR Configuration program if I go to Edit Recording Source and click on Settings the Quality Profile Settings field is set to Medium Quality. Changing it to another value appears not to be saved.

This was something that was changed in v0.18. The default recording profile is Medium (used for QuickRec button), but you can select any of the other quality settings to use when scheduling the recording using the Record button.

The quality settings list and edit button are only shown in the config app to allow you to set the varous attributes (resolution, bitrate etc) of each of the available quality settings.

GB-PVR has 6 different quality levels.

- High
- Medium
- Low
- Custom1
- Custom2
- LiveTV

The LiveTV quality settings are always used when viewing LiveTV. Adjust these(resolution/bitrate/etc) to whatever you want to use when viewing livetv.

When you schedule a manual recording, or use the Record button in the TV Guide you get an opportunity to choose the recording quality (High/Medium/Low/Custom1/Custom2).

The do a Quick Record from the TV Guide, the medium setting is used. So if you dont like the defaults, just adjust the Medium quality settings to suit your needs. You can set them to anything you like.

I didn't use bitrates in the name (like "High Quality 5gb/hr&quotWink because things can vary alot between the various types of recording devices.

- Using DirectRecording plugin, all the quality settings record to MPEG2.

- On the GO7007SB plugin, High/Medium/Low record to DivX with similar quality to other plugin, but much lower bitrates. Custom1/Custom2 record to MPEG2.
