addepisode is set to add the date to the file name if no episode name is in the database (have a look at the help file). Is this not working for you, or do you want the date in the filename all of the time?

let me know, and I'll add that in.

An option for the date all the time would be nice. We use D-link's DSM-320
media servers to watch the recordings on our TV and it only shows the name file
so if the recording date was in the filename my wife would know what order to watch the episodes.

Should this be placed before the comskip entries in the postprocessing.bat or after?

Any utility that relies on the name of the file should be placed before the addepisode utility as it changes the files name.

Short answer, addepisode comes after comskip.

i am just testing the date feature, and will release it in a few days.

i'm not promising anything, but what format would you like it in? i plan to make this stuff more user configurable in the future...

I have an addepisode line at the bottom of my postprocessing.bat file, but when it runs, the following error gets logged (and the file is not renamed):

$iRval<> $SQLITE_OK , $sOutput=

this error happened to me occasionally when i was doing initial debugging. i have no idea why it happens, but i do know how to fix it. stop the recording service, copy the gbpvr.db3 file to another directory, delete the original, and then put the copy back in the gbpvr directory, then restart the service. i know it is a hack, but i don't know what is causing it...

let me know if it happens regularly.

all I ever needed to do was stop & restart the recording service to clear this "db lock" and wait a few moments for the the other MVP servers to start and the guide to finish loading... I dont think you need to delete the db and recopy Turkey...
I can usually tell when the db is unlocked because my "recording soon field" will fill in with data of next recording... once that happens I can go back to guide/recordings/or live TV....

just my input ...
the database lock issue is one issue that the sqlite .net team has been trying to fix, but havent quite figured it out yet...

I dont really care, probably YYYYMMDD since that seems relatively international and will make sorting easier.

Is these any way to pull the season and episode number data? Because that would be even better than just the title/date. I'm not sure if gbpvr or anything knows it.
