Everything I've read tells me that Comskip should run without any additional input from me. In the GBPVR config i set it to run after recording, i even created a postprocessing.bat just for kicks and also to run comclean with it. And it is the comskip79_30 version and i put them all in my gbpvr directory.

Yet when I go to my recorded shows in GBPVR it never ran, when I go to where they are stored no logs or any txt files have been created.

What have I missed or failed to do. I have searched the forums but may be missing something obvious. Please help.

Are the comskip files in the root directory GB-PVR?

Try this: create a "shortcut" to comskip on your desktop, then "drag" a recorded file to the shortcut and lift the mouse when the shortcut turns blue.

This is a manual way to run comskip. This will at least tell you if your comskip files are good and not corrupt for some reason.

What does your PostProcessing.bat look like?
Edit: When you use PostProcessing.bat (or ParallelProcessing.bat) you should disable commercial detection in gbpvr-config-processing.

Okay after some very tedious trial and error, I have found that it works fine until I try to add in comclean and renamerecording at which point gbpvr just stops running anything other than the basic. No more comskip, no comclean, no rename, nothing. And when i put back into the same conditions it was before my modifications to the postprocessing .bat, and restore the initial comskip.ini, the program still won't run comskip anymore. I had to (as far as I could tell) restore my system to factory settings in order to get it back to working with comskip again.

It shouldn't require that much effort. Please help.

(Comskip works outside of GBPVR anytime I want it to)

As HtV said above, what does your PostProcessing.bat look like? You've most likely got a mistake in there somewhere.

I have GBPVR's config set to not run comskip or anything. I have the following in my Postprocessing.bat:

comskip.exe %1

call comclean.bat %1

It was running in GBPVR's program using their auto run comskip feature, even worked WHILE recording too. as soon as i altered my postprocessing.bat and told their config program to stop running it automatically, nothing worked right again, even when trying to tell it to run through the config program again. i even dumped my postprocessing.bat entirely replacing it with the original one that comes with comskip79_52. no good.

It could be the path. Are you sure what directory things start in? You may need to add something like the following to the start of your PostProcessing.bat:

Code:
C:
cd "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr"

Normally GB-PVR doesnt have any PostProcessing.bat, and I'm a bit of a batch file bunny, so I could easily be wrong.

Okay, I added that. we'll see in a few minutes. What is some indication that the program runs (or doesn't run). the only thing i've had to go on so far is whether or not it creates additional files in the directory of the video or not.

GB-PVR is only responsible for running PostProcessing.bat, and will record the fact in the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log. What is done in that file, and what logging you perform is entirely up to you. If you dont do any logging, then all you can do is check the end result, or for the existence of intermediate files generated by the things you're running in your PostProcessing.bat
