No, there is a functioning DHCP server enabled on my switch.

The PC can pick up an IP address from it without problems.

I know that the DHCP on the switch is OK but when I disable it and enable a DHCP server on the PC it receives no requests from the MVP (although it does receive requests from other things on the network including the switch) [Image: rock.gif]

I think it is some kind of communication problem (probably related to routing as there is more than one network card in the PC) but haven't had enough time to nail it yet.

Finally got this sorted out.

Was getting no packet loss but high ping times (250-1000ms) and it looks like the MVP doesn't like this.

Switched from my all singing all dancing 802.11g card to a cheap and cheerfull 802.11b usb key and ping times went down to 2ms and everything 'just worked'.

Could you do an idiots guide as to running GB-PVR as a service so when my PC starts so does GB-PVR. Thanks

I would also like instructions to set this up as a service.

I put the stop hauppage service and the star GB-PVR server in my start up folder and it seems to work okay.
