I don't think that it's broken, because I can use it to watch liveTV, but the recordings are screwed up. I'll try out the WinTV app from hauppauge and see if that works.

Live tv will use your last capture source defined in the config app. Recordings will default to the first capture source. Obviously two recordings will use both capture sources. In your case it sounds to me like your first capture device is screwy (used for recording), but the second on is fine (used for TV).

I've been testing with one device disabled, testing each card in turn, so I have narrowed it down to one of the cards. The problematic card is fine for liveTV, but the recordings are screwed up. I just tried it with winTV, the hauppauge software, and it works just fine for watching and recording. This is all done with the good card disables, and the bad card enabled, so it's not a hardware problem.

I guess I'm looking at a clean install and hopefully that might rectify the problem.

Sorry I dont know. I'm not aware of any GB-PVR that have caused this in the past. It may just be something you've misconfigured in GB-PVR, but it wasnt obvious to me in my quick check of your logs.
