However, the guide does update correctly as far as I can tell. I'll schedule an update early tomorrow morning and see if the problem remains. Looks like I'm back in business regardless so I’m going to sit back and do some channel surfing.
Yea all the day file percentages are much too small for my liking.
It failed the download verify process both times, and most likely used the single download backup from yesterday. Don’t trust it, disable the incremental download mode and do some channel surfing!
I can also tell you have a very good understanding of the utility and why downloading through midnight UTC is to be avoided.
It’s been a pleasure. Smile

I am using I-xmltv along with the new 'TV Listings' plugin (both are great). Now I'm trying to customize genre colors, and having some problems. TV Guide and TV Listings seem to select the custom genre colors differently (which I have asked about in the TV Listings thread), but also TV Guide shows the colors for the full 8 days of EPG, while TV Listings only shows color for two days, and I suspect this may have something to do with I-xmltv as the colors stop at 7pm, which I believe is the end of each days xml file.

Let me know if you have any suggestions or would like any files sent.

Thanks
What, me worry?

Hey Jim, I love the idea of this but I am having problems getting it to work. The XMLTV.xml file is in the correct location, and I looked at it and it is correct, and I set my input source to xmltv, emptied the EPG... but still have the zap2it listings! What's going on?

I'm guessing it's a limit set on the TV Listings side because they both use the same GBPVR database, and the default TV Guide plugin works as expected.

"TVGuide.xml" is the final xmltv file with the enhancements. Empty / Update your epg after selecting it and you should see the extra stuff it adds.

Jim_,

Thought I'd follow up with my early morning incremental update.

Looks like it's woking pretty well early in the day. Hate to break up the good news but now for some reason my recordings say failed in gbpvr but they are recording correctly and can be played outside gbpvr. I started using AboutTime and have it adjusting the time every hour. Could it cause gbpvr to report failed recording, or does it have something to do with my guide issue? I thought you might know if it's AboutTime doing this if not I'll start a new topic for this one, you've done plenty already Smile

I'd guess that 1.xml was receiving a few extra hours and lines in the evening download, that's why all the day files were small. Your call on this one, if you stick with incremental, check the logs for a few days to make sure it’s working.
About Time shouldn’t be causing any problems, I’ve been using it for 11 months updating the time every 20minutes.
I can only guess at what is causing your completed recordings to show as failed, but it shouldn’t have anything to do with I-xmltv. Possibly some corruption in the recording DB from all the updates.
Sub’s the expert to ask on that one, best to post the problem and GBPVR logs in the support forum.

Ok so here's something nice...

I've noticed that the EPG is updating the tvguide.xml files, but these updates are not appearing in the TV guide! The tvguide.xml file is updated until wednesday at midnight, but the guide only shows until tuesday at 8:00! Any ideas?
