Hi,
I have been having terrible problems trying to get either videos or live tv to play on my mvp
Everything else worked fine
I was using a 100mb usb connected ethernet card and crossover cable
I fiddled with all sorts of things changing delays and codecs etc
by the way does changing playback codec make any difference when playback is on the mvp ?
as a last resort I changed my ethernet connection to an old 10mb isa based 3com ethernet card
and much to my surprise it worked perfectly
according to performance manager mp3 play back takes about 12.5% network utilisation
and video / live tv seems to be about 85%
curiously these seem to equate pretty much with the loading seen on the usb connected card (but obviously 10 times higher as the card is 10 times slower)
yet the usb card simply could not apparently deliver the data quick enough
Sub is there anything in the logs that would confirm this ?
so if anyone else like me is having problems with there mvp then have a look at your network connections
once again Sub thanks for a fine piece of software
