Simply replace your existing I-xmltv.exe with the one in the zip.
No other changes are needed. Wink

The result.
Code:
<date>1993</date>
    [B]<category lang="en">Movie</category>[/B]
    <category lang="en">Drama</category>
    <length units="minutes">154</length>
    <episode-num system="dd_progid">MV036987.0000</episode-num>

I'll hold off on adding it to the wiki until I've looked into adding a "Pilot" genre.Smile
Let me know if it's what you wanted.

Search the forum for this common problem. You can open the zip with WinRAR.
What, me worry?

The download works fine for me. Check your firewall.

@Jim: now i'm having i-xmltv trouble: apparently something is going wrong with zap2it because 5.xml generates an error:

Quote:I-xmltv v1.2b (build 9/11/06)

I-xmltv v1.2b (build 9/11/06), clean exit

is there any way to further diagnose what the problem is?

EDIT: single download option fixed it.

Yea Zap2It is really flaky these days, especially trying to download multiple small files using incremental mode during daytime hours.
It’s probably related to high network traffic at the Zap2It site during that time of day.
Defiantly best to switch to the single download option if you have the problem at any time. But after you install the single download update, remember to re-install the movie update afterwards.

I’ll post an updated version with all the updates on the wiki later this even when I have time.
<edit> I've delayed posting a single-download option to the wiki thinking that Zap2It would address the problem.
Unfortunate the Zap2It problem appears to be here to stay... Sad

i-xmltv will not run on 64bit computers.. seeing as GB-PVR runs fine on them, it would be nice to either have a native 64bit build, or one that is not restrictred to 32bit only. (I get a error saying the program was designed for another architecture.. the only thime I have seen this is when trying to run 16bit programs)

Sorry, I can’t see this happening in the future because I’d have to learn a new language and start from scratch…
Keep in mind, I’m just sharing a program I wrote for myself using Quick Basic 4.5.
Maybe there’s a 16-bit emulator for XP x64 available somewhere? Wink

<edit>
Looks like DosBox and Task Scheduler should do the trick.
From here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_XP_...64_Edition

Unlike prior versions of the Windows NT line, 64-bit Windows versions do not include NTVDM so there is no support for the execution of MS-DOS, POSIX, OS/2 1.x and 16-bit Windows applications, although there are 3rd-party software emulators such as DOSBox that can be used to run DOS programs.

I have I-xmltv set to replace paid programs with Zap2it status, which is great, but, since it only does the first day of the guide, I don't usually see the zap2it status, because most of them are in the early am the next day.

Could the zap2it status be added to 2 days of listings?

Thanks

Hi roy,
Your wish is my command. Big Grin
Actually it was added back in v1.2, but only discussed briefly in the I-xmltv thread. I’m in the process of merging all the updates into a single package for the wiki, so it should be up and documented in a day or two. (I’m testing an updated xmltv version that could fix the intermittent Zap2It issues.)

If you’ve installed “I-xmltv Single download option”, and the "Movie Genre update" this UpdateEPG.bat setting allows you to choose the number of Zap2It status days displayed in the guide.
Code:
REM I-xmltv v1.2 (build 6/24/06)

REM *** User Settings ***
SET DaysOfEPG=11
SET Incremental=0
[B][color=Red]SET Zap2ItStatus=2[/color][/B]
SET AddDetails=1
SET MVSwitches=/md/() /mr/{} /m#/[]
SET TVSwitches=/sx /oe /se/ - /dd/() /df/Y-M-D /gd/1 /pi/* /tp/-10
"9" is the max, unless your SET DaysOfEPG= is less than that.

I-xmltv v1.2 (build 9/11/06) is now available on the wiki.
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...percharger

It includes the changes and enhancements that were posted in this thread.
Outdated attachments have been removed to avoid confusion. If you installed any of the posted updates, please update to the wiki version so we can all be on the same page.

From the change log.

v1.2b (build 9-11-06)
Option Added: "SET Incremental=0" - "1"=Incremental EPG update, "0"= Complete EPG reload. "0" is the default due to ongoing Zap2It delivery issues.

Feature support: "SET PaddSoapRequest=0" The "xmltv tv_grab_na_dd" author has added a "--padd" option to his latest grabber. Using a value of "20" is recommended (by him), as a possible fix for the ongoing Zap2It issues some people are having. "0"=Disabled.

Option added: "SET Zap2ItStatus=2" allows the user to choose how many days Zap2It status messages are displayed in the guide. "2" is the default "9" is the maximum.

Feature added: "/gd/" adds (G)enre to (D)escriptions.
Switch details: "/gd/1"=movie descriptions. "/gd/2"=non-movie descriptions. "/gd/3"=all descriptions.

Added: The GBPVR genre "Movie" has been added. Minimizing the difference between xmltv and the native Zap2It plugin.

Fix: Multi-lineup-addon.zip was missing an empty folder, it has been added to the zip.

Removed: The \TestIt\ folder has been removed, "SET ReProcess=1" allows you to test the switches.

Re-Added: A function not used by GBPVR, "SET ShiftListings=0" & "SET Offset=-0500" used to shift the listing times in an xmltv file.

Added: A function not used by GBPVR, "SET OrganizeChannels=0" Organizes channels (and listings) by the channel-number they display in the guide.

Update: Updated "ReadMe-NOW.txt" with the latest switch customization information.
