I wonder if anyone has GBPVR recent versions requiring NET2 running under win2k??.

Yes, there are users running the v0.97 and v0.98 releases on Win2k.

It may just be a matter of upgrading the version of Windows Media Player.

Thanks, I'll away to find and grab a copy of a new WMP - although the problem is the initial running of the config.exe program.

Not WMP 9. But after some messing around I realised I hadn't got directx installed. So I installed that and went past the error above.
I got an sqlite error after that, but I'll continue in the morning. I had a bad day today - just as my toe is slowly healing, I hit a big hefty pigeon with my shoulder at 70-odd mph - ouch.
