Green Screen of death

Sorry for that last question, I noticed now that you mentioned the specs a few posts up:o .
I think you should be fine with that system, ofcourse faster is always better, but when you go through the forums you'll see that there are a lot of people with slower systems which work well.

I think I've been having the same problem (I've attached a screen shot). My setup is also a PVR-150, but I use an ATI x700pro with a big aftermarket fan. I notice a while ago (when my a/c broke in my house) that the video from this machine would drop out (no signal anymore) when the temperature in the house got above about 25-28 degrees.

I recently but a new Seagate SATAII drive in the box, and that seems to run really hot, so I think cooling is the issue..

I wrote ATI for support, and they think it is a hardware issue.

The wierdest thing by far though, is that I have a second tuner (external usb), and when the green starts happening, it only affects one tuner or the other (never both). I'm currently looking into a new video card with a nice big quiet fan, and keeping my house cool :-)

hm, looks like at least you have some sort of scrambled signal/picture, i don't even get that. just a solid green (light olive) color.
